Pulpit
Terms of Use
Last updated September 3, 2026
Binding agreement. By checking the box on sign-up, creating an account, signing in, paying, or using Pulpit, you accept these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy in full. You only check the box once, when the account is made. That single check covers every later visit, device, and sign-in. If you do not agree, do not create an account and do not use the desk.
1. Who we are
These Terms are between you and Pulpit, 7244 Possum Hollow Rd, Booneville, Arkansas 72927, the owner and operator of the desk at pulpit.grok.me, including that owner’s officers, members, employees, contractors, affiliates, successors, and agents (together, “Pulpit,” “we,” “us,” or “the owner”). Pulpit is a software sermon desk. It is not a church, seminary, law firm, medical practice, counseling practice, or insurer.
2. The service
Pulpit provides tools that may include voice, camera, and text capture; outline building; Bible reading (including Standard and Chronological plans); daily verse and Proverbs; translations; Hebrew and Greek; Strong’s, lexicon, and concordance; maps; historical and cultural notes; reading voices and pronunciation; podium mode; archive; Learn my voice; Christian content-creator tools; auto-posting; and related features. Features differ by Free, Day Pass, and Pro. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
The desk is a writing and study aid. It does not replace Scripture, the Holy Spirit, pastoral judgment, or your duty to test every word. You alone decide what you preach, post, print, or teach.
3. Eligibility and account
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You may not use Pulpit if you are barred under the laws of the United States or the place where you live. You will give accurate sign-in information and keep it current. You are solely responsible for every action taken with your credentials, including on shared or church devices. Notify us promptly if you believe the account was used without permission. We may refuse, suspend, or close any account at our discretion, including for non-payment, abuse, chargebacks, or legal risk.
4. Not professional advice
Nothing on Pulpit is legal, medical, mental-health, financial, tax, immigration, or professional counseling advice. Outlines, applications, historical notes, maps, word studies, and AI suggestions are study aids only. They are not a substitute for licensed counsel, a physician, a counselor, or your own exegesis. You will not rely on Pulpit as the sole basis for any pastoral, medical, or legal decision, and you release Pulpit from any claim that you did.
5. Scripture, languages, maps, and study data
Bible texts, Strong’s numbers, lexicons, maps, timelines, names, and historical or cultural notes are provided “as available.” They may contain errors, incomplete entries, mapping mistakes, disputed identifications, or simplifications. Public-domain works (including certain translations and classic lexicons) remain in the public domain. NASB and other licensed texts, if offered, remain the property of their publishers; your use must follow those publishers’ licenses. Pulpit does not warrant that any Strong’s number, Hebrew or Greek gloss, pronunciation, map, or historical recap is complete, scholarly, or theologically correct for your tradition.
You will verify every verse, definition, and historical claim against the text itself and sources you trust before you teach. Pulpit is not liable for a sermon, post, or teaching that used an incorrect reference, definition, map, or AI summary.
6. Artificial intelligence and generated content
Capture, outline, Fill, Learn my voice, historical context, multiply tools, auto-post text, and similar features may use automated systems, including the Grok backend and other processors. Generated text can be wrong, incomplete, biased, theologically one-sided, or unfaithful to the passage. It may invent or omit verses. It may misunderstand a voice capture or a photograph. You must review, edit, and take responsibility for every output before you use it. You will not present generated material as if it were an inerrant commentary or as if Pulpit authored your sermon.
Pulpit has no duty to monitor, correct, or approve what you generate. We may filter or refuse processing that appears unlawful or abusive. Automated processing of your voice, photos, and text is described in the Privacy Policy and is authorized by you when you use those tools.
7. Your content
You retain whatever rights you already have in sermons, notes, captures, photos, audio, video, graphics, brand kits, and other material you submit (“Your Content”). You represent that you have all rights needed to submit it, including rights in photographed pages, handwritten notes, and recordings of your voice. You will not upload material that infringes copyright, publicity, or privacy, or that you are not allowed to store.
You grant Pulpit a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transcribe, display, transmit, and create derivative technical copies of Your Content solely to operate, secure, back up, and improve the desk for you (and, if you turn on auto-post or export, to send it to the destinations you choose). We do not claim ownership of your sermons and do not sell them. This license ends when Your Content is deleted from systems we control, except for residual copies in backups, logs, or legal holds, which will be dropped in the ordinary cycle.
8. Your responsibility for ministry use
You are solely responsible for: (a) the theology, accuracy, and pastoral fitness of anything you preach or publish; (b) how your congregation, staff, or social audience receives it; (c) any defamation, copyright, privacy, or publicity claim arising from Your Content or from a generated outline you used; (d) compliance with your denomination, church bylaws, and local law; and (e) any recording, photograph, or social post you make with the desk. Pulpit is not a party to your ministry relationships and has no duty to any third person who hears a sermon prepared on the desk.
9. Plans, payments, and taxes
Free, Day Pass, monthly Pro, and yearly Pro are described in the app. Prices may change; the price you are shown at checkout is the price for that purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates. Pulpit does not receive or store full payment-card numbers. You authorize Stripe to charge the method you provide. Day Pass is a one-time digital access period of 24 hours from fulfillment, not a recurring subscription. Monthly and yearly Pro renew unless you cancel through the customer portal or by written request we can verify.
Digital access begins as soon as the session is fulfilled. Except where a statute requires otherwise, all fees are non-refundable once access is delivered, including Day Pass after the period has started and unused time on a canceled subscription. Chargebacks made in bad faith are a breach. We may collect unpaid amounts, reasonable collection costs, and the cost of reversing a fraudulent dispute. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase other than taxes based on our net income. Promotional codes have no cash value, may be limited, and may be withdrawn.
The owner’s own account includes Pro and is not a consumer purchase. Keys and webhooks on the owner desk are for the owner only. Customers see plan options, never secret keys.
10. Acceptable use
You will not, and will not allow anyone else to:
- break the law, traffic in stolen data, or exploit children;
- harass, threaten, defame, or impersonate any person;
- upload malware, scrape the service, overload our systems, or bypass technical limits;
- copy, reverse engineer, decompile, or create a competing product from Pulpit’s software, models, prompts, method books, or non-public data;
- resell, sublicense, or white-label the desk without our written consent;
- use generated output to train a competing model in a way that copies Pulpit’s system;
- interfere with another user’s desk or with billing;
- use auto-post or social tools in violation of X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or any other platform’s rules.
We may remove content, throttle features, or close the account without refund if this section is broken.
11. Our intellectual property
Pulpit, the logo, the desk interface, original copy, software, method-book adaptations we built into the product, and the selection and arrangement of materials are owned by the owner or its licensors. These Terms do not sell you the software. They grant a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the desk for your own ministry and study while your account is in good standing. You may not remix, fork, republish, or commercially exploit the app, its design, or its non-user content. Feedback you send may be used by us without obligation to you.
12. Third-party services
Sign-in may use X or other identity providers. Payments use Stripe. Ads and measurement may use Meta Pixel. Auto-post may use Buffer, Zapier, dlvr.it, or similar tools you connect. Hosting, authentication, and AI processing may use xAI / Grok and infrastructure providers. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. Pulpit is not responsible for outages, policy changes, account bans, or data handling by those parties. Connecting a social account is optional and at your risk.
13. Availability, data, and security
We aim to keep the desk available. We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or fully offline operation. You should keep your own copies of sermons you cannot afford to lose. We may perform maintenance, migrate data, or discontinue a feature. We use reasonable measures to protect the service; no system is perfectly secure. You release Pulpit from claims arising from downtime, delay, lost notes, failed capture, failed auto-post, or unauthorized access that we did not cause by willful misconduct.
14. Copyright complaints
If you believe material on Pulpit infringes your copyright, send a notice that meets 17 U.S.C. § 512 (DMCA) to Pulpit, 7244 Possum Hollow Rd, Booneville, Arkansas 72927, or [email protected] with the subject “DMCA — Pulpit,” identifying the work, the material, your contact information, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you are the owner or agent. We may remove the material and, in repeat cases, close the account. Counter-notices may be submitted as the statute allows.
15. Disclaimers
PULPIT IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OWNER AND PULPIT DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, QUIET ENJOYMENT, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY OF SCRIPTURE TOOLS, ACCURACY OF AI OUTPUT, AND UNINTERRUPTED SERVICE. NO ORAL OR WRITTEN STATEMENT BY US CREATES A WARRANTY NOT STATED HERE.
16. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PULPIT AND THE OWNER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOST PROFITS, TITHE, OFFERINGS, OR GOODWILL; LOST DATA; COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES; PERSONAL INJURY OR EMOTIONAL DISTRESS; THEOLOGICAL DISPUTE; CHURCH DISCIPLINE; DEFAMATION; OR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM A SERMON, POST, MAP, DEFINITION, TRANSCRIPT, OR OUTLINE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY, AND WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER THEORY.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE DESK WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO PULPIT FOR THE DESK IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US $50) IF YOU NEVER PAID. THESE LIMITS ARE AN ESSENTIAL BASIS OF THE BARGAIN. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITS; IN THOSE PLACES OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS.
17. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Pulpit and the owner, and their officers, members, contractors, and agents, from and against any claim, demand, loss, damage, judgment, fine, and reasonable attorneys’ fees arising out of or related to: (a) Your Content; (b) your sermons, posts, exports, or auto-posts; (c) your use or misuse of the desk; (d) your breach of these Terms; (e) your violation of law or of a third party’s rights; (f) a dispute with your church, denomination, listeners, or social audience; or (g) a chargeback you initiate without basis. We may assume exclusive defense at your expense. You will not settle a claim that admits fault by us without our written consent.
18. Release
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release Pulpit and the owner from every claim, known or unknown, arising from your use of the desk, from generated content, from third-party platforms, and from the conduct of other users. If you are a California resident, you waive California Civil Code § 1542 (and similar laws), which would otherwise preserve unknown claims.
19. Dispute resolution; arbitration; no class actions
Contact us first and allow thirty (30) days to try to resolve the matter informally. If it is not resolved, except for claims that qualify for small-claims court or claims for injunctive relief to protect intellectual property, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the desk will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The seat of arbitration is Booneville, Arkansas, unless we both agree otherwise. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
YOU AND PULPIT MAY BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. THE ARBITRATOR MAY NOT CONSOLIDATE CLAIMS OR PRESIDE OVER ANY FORM OF CLASS PROCEEDING. IF THIS CLASS WAIVER IS FOUND UNENFORCEABLE AS TO A PARTICULAR CLAIM, THAT CLAIM MUST PROCEED IN COURT AND THE REST OF THIS SECTION STILL APPLIES.
Either party may bring an individual action in small-claims court in Logan County, Arkansas, or in the county of your residence if the court has jurisdiction. You may opt out of arbitration within thirty (30) days after you first accept these Terms by sending a written notice from the email on your account that clearly says you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other term.
20. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and by applicable United States federal law, including the Federal Arbitration Act. Subject to the arbitration section, exclusive venue for any permitted court action is the state courts in Logan County, Arkansas, or the United States District Court for the Western District of Arkansas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
21. Termination
You may stop using the desk at any time. We may suspend or end access immediately if you breach these Terms, if we are required by law, or if we discontinue the service. On termination, your license ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 4–8, 11–20, 22–24) survive. We are not obliged to keep or export Your Content after closure except as the Privacy Policy or law requires.
22. General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Pulpit about the desk. They supersede prior oral or written statements. If a court or arbitrator finds a provision unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent needed, and the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a sale, merger, or reorganization. There are no third-party beneficiaries except the indemnified owner parties. Headings are for convenience only. “Including” means “including without limitation.” Notices to you may be posted in the app or sent to the email on the account. Force majeure: we are not liable for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including outages, labor disputes, acts of God, or platform failures.
23. Electronic acceptance
You agree that checking the box, creating an account, or using the desk is an electronic signature under the U.S. E-SIGN Act and the Arkansas Uniform Electronic Transactions Act, and is as valid as a handwritten signature. You only need to check the box once when the account is created. That acceptance remains in effect for every later sign-in until the account is closed.
